We’ve arrived at the mid-way point of our Mushroom Masters 2011: A Tournament of Taste! This week is a Dinner Duel featuring a mushroom Wellington, mushroom tacos, and beef with mushroom marsala sauce.
Each week during the month of September we are featuring a head-to-head battle with bloggers from Australia, Canada and the United States. Each blogger submits an original recipe and photos for that week’s meal.
This week, Jennifer from Le Delicieux represents Australia with a Mushroom Wellington, Canada’s Darina at Gratinee shows a Mushroom and Caramelized Onion Tacos, and Alice from Savory Sweet Life representing the United States has Marsala Mushroom Cream Sauce over Beer Braised Beef.
Take a look at each recipe (the three recipes are presented in alphabetical order by country), gaze at the gorgeous photos, and vote for the recipe you like best!
You can find the full recipe from each blogger on their respective country’s mushroom sites

Can I choose all of them? :p
Delicious!
These all look like amazing recipes. I guess I’ll just have to make each one. With fall in the air, mushroom recipes are always perfect and earthy for the crisp weather.

Delisious
Delicious!
The wellington is making my mouth water, I shouldn’t have read this just before lunch!
So hard to choose but some one has to win
Definitely the Mushie Wellington. Go Aussies!!!
When I saw the comment from Ron, I thought all the Rowley’s should get in on the action. Yes, it is hard to choose, but Mushroom Wellington is the way to go. Go Aussies. Go the Fungi Foursome….
In love with the mushroom Wellington! :)
Nothing beats a mushroom in a wellington it looks so appetising makes you want to get your choppers round it.
The Mushroom Wellington looks & sounds delicious.
Looks delicious, good luck Jennifer. Go Aussie!
They all look amazingly delicious! Good luck to you!
They all look wonderful… but those Taco… the combo of caramelized onions and mushrooms really do it for me! Go Team Canada!
They all do look wonderful to me but the Wellington looks good enough to overcome the diverse finickiness-es of my family.
Mushroom Wellington has a great combination of flavours, easy to make and a pleasure to eat!
MMM Mushroom Wellington – what time’s dinner?
I made the Marsala Mushroom Cream Sauce and Beef for dinner tonight exactly according to the recipe. All, I can say is, I should have had a larger roast! Our two grandsons, 12 and 6, had seconds and thirds, and our daughter and son-in-law, who are vegetarians, thoroughly enjoyed the Marsala Mushrooms over Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes I made as a side dish. Whether this dish wins your contest or not, this recipe is a definite “must try”. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks for a great recipe! Next, I will try the Mushrooms Wellington.
The marsala mushroom and beef!
All three recipes look amazing, but I vote for the Marsala Mushroom Cream Sauce with Beef!
beer brased beef with mush sause for sure
