Where have you been for the last month?
If you’ve been anywhere else but here, you’ve been missing out on the Mushroom Masters, a month-long Tournament of Taste during which we feature weekly head-to-head-to-head culinary competitions with food bloggers from Australia, Canada and the United States.
Each week during September, different bloggers submit original recipes and photos for that week’s “meal.” So far, we’ve eaten through Caramelized Mushroom and Shallot Bruschetta for breakfast, Crispy Crunchy Button Mushroom and Roast Sweet Potato Salad for lunch, and Mushroom Wellington for dinner.
That’s three meals. What else is there, you say?
Uh, we don’t know about you, but we’re pretty sure we could make an entire meal out of a spread of little…appetizers!
This week, Ellie from Kitchen Wench represents Australia by serving up some Chicken Mushroom and Tofu Dumplings, Canada’s Angela at Oh She Glows shows a Mushroom and Caramelized Onion Tacos, and Elana from Elana’s Pantry, representing the United States has Herb Stuffed Mushrooms.
Take a look at each recipe (the three recipes are presented in alphabetical order by country), gaze at the gorgeous photos, and vote for the recipe you like best!
You can find the full recipe from each blogger on their respective country’s mushroom sites

They all look delicious… but oh my goodness check out that Mushroom Tart!! ;)
Go Team Canada, Go!
I just recently develop this addiction to mushrooms! I would love to try them someday. They all look very delicious! Keep up the good work!
Whoever wins deserve it!
I have yet to try a recipe of Angela’s that wasn’t simply perfect. She has my vote any day!
Everything looks delish. I love anything, mushrooms :)
Really like Elana’s mushroom cups recipe, though I would use larger mushrooms… I’ve too many thumbs.
And Anglea’s tart looks like good party food as many friends are vegetarian and it is sometimes hard coming up with something special. Love your websit too…
But Ellie’s dumplings are great as I’ve tried similar and the ginger gives it that lovely lift. I haven’t tried this sauce before, normally use a thicker chilli sauce, so will be interesting to try it out tomorrow. I also like many of Ellie’s recipes, they really get peoples interest when I make them, so go Ellie :)
Boy, those Canadian sure do love their mushroom tarts! While they all look (and no doubt taste) fantastic, my stomach owes its allegiance to Australia. Go Ellie!!
mushroom tart.. beautiful and adaptable (like most ohsheglows recipes, they leave you inspired to create something on your own).
while each is beautiful, my vote is with ange!
