When we think of “vegetable chips,” we usually think of those crispy, crunchy fried things that are shaped like potato chips, but made from other things. They are different colors made to represent whatever vegetable they are (green! pink! purple), but they certainly don’t look anything like a vegetable.
We don’t think of those anymore.
Now, these Vegetable Chips may not necessarily be an innovative, new product, but it’s the first time we’ve ever seen, smelled or tasted real vegetable chips, shaped like real vegetables. We were particularly struck by the green beans.
(We realize that this makes us sound like we’ve never seen a real vegetable before, but *that* we have seen.)
We bought a bag of these at the Farmers’ Market, but it was only after we got home and inhaled the entire bag in 5 minutes did we realize how expensive they are ($8.99 for this entire smallish bowl!). So we jumped onto our site hoping to find a recipe.
“Hoping.” Please. This is TasteSpotting. Aside from the dozens of Kale Chip recipes alone, look what we found! We found quite a few recipe for everything from Artichoke Chips to Zucchini. Of course, we also saw lots of the more common chips like Beet Chips and of course everyone’s favorite “health” food, Sweet Potato Chips, both of which we’ve pulled together, too:
