We’ve arrived at the mid-way point of our Mushroom Masters: A Tournament of Taste! Before we do anything, though, we’ve got to congratulate Australia’s Kitchen Wench, Ellie, for winning the Button Battle with her Lasagne with Slow Roasted Mushrooms and Goat Cheese! So far, that’s 1 for Canada and 1 Australia!
Ok, so back to this week’s mushroom madness…
It’s a showdown featuring the meaty and beautiful shiitake mushroom!
Each week during the month of September we are featuring a head-to-head battle with bloggers from Australia, Canada and the United States. Each blogger will submit an original recipe and photos that use that week’s selected mushroom variety.
This week, Christie from Fig & Cherry represents Australia with a Shiitake Mushroom Okonomiyaki, a Japanese pizza-slash-pancake, Canada’s Elizabeth at Guilty Kitchen shows a Shiitake Mushroom Flatbread Pizza, and Susan from Sticky, Gooey, Creamy, Chewy representing the United States has Shiitake Mushroom Dumplings in Broth.
