We promised you a stand mixer, and yes we’re a day late, but can you blame us? It’s summer.
But here we are giving you — well, not all of you, just one very lucky you — a KitchenAid Stand Mixer in our very favorite color, TasteSpotting White™ (hey, if Martha can have a signature color, so can we!)
HOW TO ENTER
There is but one step to enter this giveaway, and even though Mrs. Galayda in 5th grade taught us never to make a numbered list if there’s only one thing:
1. Answer this question in the comments section of this post: What is the first thing you are going to make with your own KitchenAid® Stand Mixer?
We can’t wait for someone else to get his/her very own Mixer and love it and hug it and squeeze it and name it “Hello Kitch-y” like we did. Trust me, once you have your own, naming your Stand Mixer won’t sound weird to you at all.
IMPORTANT STUFF FROM SARAH
Winner will be chosen at random. We’re not sure when, so it’s best to just enter now (but we’re thinking at least 24 hours, but you know how we are at TasteSpotting).
Please enter only once. That means once per person, not you and your multiple internet personalities with different email addresses.
No, I have no way of enforcing this. You could lie but trust me *singsong voice* I will find out. I have been mercilessly deceived before and you know the saying…Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, and I S-W-E-A-R (that’s “promise” for those of you who can’t spell) that I will detox my weigh to a mere 3 pounds just so I can crawl through the Internet to your kitchen and use a citrus reamer on you in ways that wouldn’t be considered sexy.
(Besides, TasteSpotting is going to have lots of gifts to give away the rest of this summer. Oh did I forget to mention that? :) )
Good luck!
This giveaway is lovingly sponsored by KitchenAid.

I’ll be making peanut butter chocolate chip blondies….sounds good :) Thanks for the giveaway offer!!
The first thing I am going to make with my own KitchenAid Stand Mixer is hazelnut meringues with chocolate on top.
Cheeeesecaaaaake!
The first thing I would make would be some fresh bread. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats fresh bread. Except maybe coconut macaroons. So, maybe that instead. I don’t know!
The first thing I’ll make is chocolate-peanut butter ganache cake!
Sarah! What fun. I’d make chocolate chip scones. :)
I think would whip up some fluffy dinner rolls, and possibly some soft pretzel dough… anything bread related really!
Definitely sticky buns! :)
A lemon hazelnut ricotta cake. Making this cake by hand just doesn’t cut it!

Plan on sticking to a tried & true classic – lemon meringue pie!
Love inspired cake for my boyfriend’s birthday!
If I was lucky enough to win this mixer, the first thing I’d make would be homemade frosting. Few things are as delicious as from-scratch, super fluffy chocolate frosting. :)
Pizza dough!
It depends on the week! Every week I make a new dessert for my blog (cooking my way through all the National Food Holidays). So if it’s next week, maybe some peanut butter cookies. July – maybe some basic sugar cookies. August – crust for the many pies it looks like I’ll be making!
I would make bread first, as I have tried to hand knead countless times, as well as use a breadmaker to make dough, with varied success. I’m pretty sure I would make Hokkaido Milk Bread!
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Maybe even with dried cranberries.
Cupcakes!!
I’d have to say if I won a kitchen aide stand mixer (which my grandmother has in harvest yellow from the 60′s with a glass bowl attachment) I would make beer bread with my absolute favorite microbrewery beer; the Belmont Brewery’s Strawberry Blonde.

My go-to for summer is a lemon pound cake with fresh blueberries (in a bundt pan so it’s cute). Hopefully I win! :)
It will have to be a classic victoria sponge, harking back to my childhood. Nothing quite beats it when it comes to cakes!
I’m not sure what I’ll make first, but I think it would be a bread product of some kind!! Yum! Or maybe it will be tamales.
Wow – it would be incredibly difficult to choose – I’m getting giddy just thinking about it! If I had to choose I would say bread – kneading by hand is a real chore – it’s the only think that keeps me from making bread more often!

Ice creaaaaaam!!! Lots of it! With all the seasonal fruits I can get my hands on.
Soft Pretzels, I think!
I’ve been on a Low Carb Diet since January and have not baked a thing with my itty-bitty little person. And since I’ve wanted a stand mixer for a very long time, I’ll bake berry filled cupcakes that she’s been asking to make … ooh, i have been CRAVING home-made ooey- gooey, warm-from-the-oven cinnamon rolls. I’d make that! My dad’s birthday is coming up and he likes coconut jelly cake. I could make that from scratch! Too many choices!

Some kind of yummy dessert! Maybe some chocolate oatmeal cookies
I will be making Don Farmer’s Fresh Apple Cake from “The New James Beard” cookbook. And of course whipping up some fresh cream to dollop the top with.
anything that requires perfectly beaten egg whites – so hard to do with a dinky hand held mixer!

Homemade bread!!! There is nothing better in the whole universe!
I love baking! There’s nothing I find more relaxing and enjoyable than whipping up something delish to share with the family and friends at least 3 times a week(lucky them, right?!). The first thing I would make on that beautiful masterpiece that ive always dreamed of owning would be an amazing Vanilla Bean Flan Cake that everyone is always begging me to make. It’s a delicious layer of flan baked with a layer of cake on top…it’s possibly the best dessert you could ever put in your mouth. Delicious moist, vanilla speckled cake over custardy flan, drizzled with decadent caramel or if preferred, which I love, drizzled with a raspberry sauce and fresh raspberry’s. Do I have you drooling? I have myself drooling! So that’s the first thing I would make if I won. Im going to keep my fingers crossed! Honestly, I know this is boring, but I’d just make a regular batch of bread. Anytime I try to make bread by hand, I can’t seem to get the knack of kneading, and it doesn’t rise the way it should. I can’t wait to see the difference in a real mixer.

Oh, I have been coveting one of these and wishing for one to magically appear in a second hand store…but if I were fortunate enough to win a shiny new one, I would first make my absolute favorite date bars that my grandmother always used to make for me, and I would share them with everyone I love.
Breakfast sausages!
I’d get back into the fun world of Bauernbrot (German farm-bread). Many, many iterations of the stiff dough has ravaged my old 3-qt mixer; it sounds like a concrete mixer full of legos. :(
A great big three-layer celebration cake, of course! Shiny new KitchenAids are definitely reason enough to celebrate.
Marshmallows!

I’d go for simple, just to test it out…maybe vanilla cupcakes! And then it would be time to get crazzzay! :)

The absolute first thing I will make with my new mixer is a family recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation. It’s a basic white cake that is made from scratch. I will make it with my mom, like we have for the past 20 years. Then I will turn around and give the bright and shiny, spanking-new mixer to my mother, who has wanted one for years and just never wants to spend money on herself. I think that would make the cake taste THAT MUCH sweeter :)

I’m not going to make anything – I’m going to give it to my baby brother who has become a mad baker. He does all of our family holiday and birthday desserts – he shows up with two cheesecakes, 4 kinds of cookies and a cake – all from scratch and all by hand, every holiday – every birthday – without fail. I think a KitchenAid mixer would change his life for the better – and I can’t think of a better thank you!
He will make: a key lime cheesecake, pie dough for a blueberry pie, pizza dough to freeze for pizza / basketball night (GO CELTICS!!!), chocolate chip cookies, gingersnaps, and my grandmother’s gingerbread. Mmmmm. I can’t WAIT to give him his new KitchenAid!!!

I am so used to mixing everything by hand it would seem like a waste to make something I’ve made before… If I had one of those mixers I would finally make some Tres Leches cupcakes, a double batch! So I could make my friends and co-workers fat… oops, I meant so I could share… teehee
Baguettes!

I’ve wanted to make my own fluffy marshmallows for a long time but each time I look at the step in the recipe where it says the mixture should be mixed for 12 to 15 minutes, I look at my hand mixer and I think of my arm cramping up. The stand mixer would make this step infinitely easier.

I don’t bake. With this beauty, I will go for a basic, classic butter cake which I thought should be an entry(beginner) cake for me :p
Thanks!
What is the first thing I’d make with my Kitchenaid? I would make my best friend and my husband their birthday cake. Their birthday’s are one week apart. I’ve been planning a river get-away for all of us. I plan on making their cake for them (they each want different flavors) to take with us. I’ve begun working more with more advanced baking and this would make my life so much easier. At this point, I’ve burned out 4 hand mixers. They make a very bad smell when they blow up!
Mmmmmm… Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies.
The first thing I would make would be sausage, for sure! Then maybe some meringues, then definitely some pecan turtle brownies, then lots of muffins…the list is endless!
This is what I’ll make — I’ll make certain that my gf whips up those Let Me Eat Cake’s Ube cupcakes like she says she will. I say this because I’ll give her the mixer as a gift. See, she’s been dying to own one for about six years. For realz. I’m not kidding.

It’s been well loved, but only can do so much. It’s time for a Kitchen Aid to come to the rescue. And when I’ve made that, then it’s a Tunnel of Fudge cake.

First thing? Whipped cream. I usually make it by hand, so that would be quite the indulgence! Yay Kitchenaid!
A 3-tier wedding cake for my own upcoming wedding! It would definitely help a lot because trying to make enough batter for a 12-inch cake is not easy with a hand mixer!
Nutella Brownies. My favorite thing ever.
Oh, I’ll make a massive batch of homemade marshmallows and then a NOT double batch of bread dough because I’ll be able to fit it all in at once!
Tres Leches. Or cookies. Or a Pecan roll : P Yeah I have no straight answer.
I am going to make mounds of cream cheese pound cake with loads of vanilla bean seeds in it and frosting and whipped cream. And then I am going to eat it all. Yum!

I recently got married (2 weeks ago!) and even though I had a KitchenAid Stand Up Mixer on my registry, it sadly still remains there. When I finally get my mixer, I’m going to make pizza dough. I am going to make a double batch of my white chocolate chip salty oatmeal cookies…mmmm ;)
I don’t usually bake with my mom (because I like baking sweets…hehe), but she wants to try making breads. I think it would also speed up the process for her making dumplings skins for potstickers and Xiao Long Bao-people call them “dumplings” as well, but they’re more like tiny, baby buns to me. Mmmmmmmmmm. I can’t emphasis the delicious-ness.
Probably scones:) Ina Garten’s Cranberry Orange Scones. I would take them to my office b/c otherwise I will eat them all and get terribly chubby…
