It’s the end of the week of Back-to-School (cook)Books Giveaways here on TasteSpotting, so it seems appropriate to giveaway one last set of cookbooks that will be fun for the weekend, recess! …
Crazy About Cookies has 300 cookie recipes for every day and special occasions: for the lunchbox, for back to school bake sales, holidays, and whatnot. If we have it in us to try baking again, we’ll share a recipe or two.
The Food Trucks cookbook features more than 100 of the hottest street meals on wheels from 20 different cities. Obviously, we love Food Trucks around these parts as we did a whole series of recipes from the Los Angeles Food Truck Fest. Remember the Cheesy Mac and Rib (macaroni and cheese and shortrib grilled cheese sandwich)?! This cookbook has everything from Kimchi Quesadillas from KogiBBQ in Los Angeles (the king of “gourmet” taco trucks?!) to poutine from Potato Champion in Portland, from SF RoliRoti’s porchetta to Austin’s FlipHappy Crepes.
And food is always more fun when you put it on a stick! And we’re not just talking about county fair corn dogs and cake pops. On a Stick, with 80 party-perfect recipes, comes from one of our favorite food photoblographer, Matt Armendariz (mattbites!). Naturally, the photos in this book are full-color, full-page, full-gorgeous. Fried chicken and waffles on a stick? Yes. Spaghetti and meatballs on a stick? Obvs. Cocktail cubes on sticks?! Don’t mind if we do…
How to Enter this Set-of-Three Giveaway (one person gets all 3 books!)
- Since this is recess, leave a comment with WHAT KIND OF FUN YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR THE WEEKEND! Are you heading to the beach for one last summer hurrah? Going shopping? Throwing a dinner party? If you actually don’t have anything fun planned for the weekend, first of all, maybe you should reset your priorities, secondly, for this giveaway, just make something up. It doesn’t matter what you say, as this is a random drawing, but it does matter that you do comment with something.
- Make sure to enter your email address in the box provided so we can contact you
- Share this giveaway post with your friends on facebook and twitter! (not required, but we’d love the help!)
You have until next Monday September 17, 2012 at 5 PM PST to comment. Everyone is welcome to comment to enter, but we can only ship this stuff in the U.S. (So if you’re outside the US and win, you just need to provide us with a US mailing address to send!)
(And by the way, in case anyone is wondering, even though I work 7 days a week, this weekend is non-characteristically fun-filled. Wine dinner with friends Friday night and birthday dinner GNO on Saturday night. Fun!)
