What I find strange is that the recipe doesn’t tell us to brown the butter. I found this site that is supposedly also coolhaus’ recipe, and it does brown the butter (and has substantial other changes as well) http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/recipe?id=13956891

As much as I love bacon, and yeah it goes with just about everything, I’m still not sure about the idea of mixing it with ice-cream, is it really that good?

Incredible! I made this last week and loved it. A very easy process start to finish. I did add the optional cinnamon (and of course the rum). Thanks for the recipe!

when i first saw the bacon icecream option on the Cool Haus truck i was appalled and taken aback. But I tried it last night at the Los Angeles Downtown Artwalk and it was delicious! I was surprised i liked it and highly recommend for everyone to try it at least once!

Wow, fantastic! The lines for Cool Haus was too long so we didn’t get to try any at the Food Truck fest. But, will definitely give this recipe a go!
