For National Almond Day, we thought we’d go all-in, “all-mond,” if you will (oh, and you will).
We were originally inspired by Lauren’s comment about cooking oats with almond milk because we had a carton of almond milk in the fridge that we bought for “health” but hadn’t opened yet because we weren’t sure how to use it. Now we know what to do with almond milk.
We didn’t actually cook the oats in the almond milk — we just stirred it into the pot when we re-heated oats we had cooked previously. They turned out creamier than usual, and with a dollop of almond butter (which sort of “melted” into the oats from the warmth) and sliced almonds, just as delicious.
